Villanova football and basketball broadcasts
« on: May 01, 2012, 12:49:46 PM »

Now that WPEN has the sixers and Flyers, what does this do to the Villanova football and men's basketball broadcasts that are aired on 950 WPEN-AM?

College football won't interfere with hockey and basketball for the majority of the season. If there's a conflict, the college football can be on 950. Perhaps Rutgers football can move to 97.3

Does anybody west of Trenton care about Rutgers football?

Considering there's a Rutgers campus in Camden, which is southwest of Trenton

It will probably do nothing to the Villanova games. All those games are aired on 950 only anyway, (sometimes a rare 97.5 basketball broadcast) so any FM sixers/flyers conflict wouldn't interfere with that contract. Also, all football games are on Saturday afternoons and the season ends in November, not much chance for overlap.
