Tibbs I don't listen to Delilah that often unless she's on when I'm driving at night. I won't listen to Doug because I'm just not a fan of his personality. He goes on and on about stuff and skips from subject to subject. Everyone has opinions about radio personalities and I'm sorry that offend you for not being a fan of Doug but I'm not. I'm very happy that I won't have to hear him filling in on the morning show or for Barbara Bridges.

That was Kiss 106.7. I think it lasted less than a year before they pulled the plug.
Yeah, I think 104.5 only held onto that same format for about a year, themselves.  Amusing, since one of their (Core) announcers had something on his page on their website at that time mocking 106.7 for having had four formats in four years, while they (104.5) also had four formats during those same four years!

For anyone still needing their Delilah fix, I am guessing that she is still on 98.7 in Hopkinsville, as per their website.  Meanwhile, now that she is off 92.9, anyone wanting to place any guesses as to who (here in the immediate Nashville area) will pick her up next?  My guess is nobody on the west side of town because of the close proximity to 98.7.

Does Cookeville's 95.9 already carry her?  They come in about Lebanon.  I agree about Doug. Nice enough guy, but not very engaging.

-Yep. 95.9's website has her listed.

Given that evenings have never really been radio's strongest daypart, I am surprised that any of this even makes any difference.
Never say NEVER ole 525....back in the day...(and Tibbs is saying, "oh crap, here he goes again."  That would be the 50s and 60s when rock was the show in radio...names like Bill Berlin, Jay Thomas, Scott Shannon, Johnny Walker..and the list goes on....EVENINGS WERE KING. Granted...they haven't done that much of late....so I hear.

Yeah, used to love listening to WLS at night.  Used to listen to Spider Harrison from down in west Tennessee back when I lived there.

If Doug is as you describe, he might be the perfect replacement for Delilah!   Shocked  She, too, goes on and on about nothing!

Gotta give Doug some credit, though.  He mentioned the traffic back-up on I-24 last night because of that major wreck out there.  Don't think Delilah would have done that!

When (what time) was Doug's (previous) regular airshift on 92.9?  I recall hearing him at other times, but don't know when (or even if) he was on at any regular time.  His bio says that he has been with them since 2006.  That's a long time with one station to be just a "floater."

I heard an unfamiliar song, Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen.  Wondering how my radio got tuned to 106 or 107, I went to change my office "dial" back to 92.9, just to find out it was already there. Definitely did not sound like one of their typical songs. While I'm all for expanding the playlist, I'm not a fan of this one. Or the dang Napoleon Dynamite song, The Rose by Darci Monet that they play everyday!

Well you may not be a fan of this one but apparently someone is. It's in the top 10 on the AC charts.

Yeah, I've noticed KKPK playing it a lot as well. Sadly it's growing tolerable to me. Also, 92.9 is cutting in and out an annoying amount today. Not their signal, but the sound feed. The only station doing it that I've noticed. I don't remember hearing issues on them before.
