I Miss Don In The Morning!!!
« on: May 06, 2012, 02:16:34 AM »

Is it possible a station will pick up Imus? Does he have a big enough fan base to justify spending the money for his show?  "Funny 570" may be a good option.

Thanks,
Stuart

Last I heard, he wasn't charging some stations - just take the barter.

You can always pick him up via the Internet, stream to your mobile phone direct to your car.

He does seem to lost his edge as NBC is opening boycotting him and he has trouble getting some Top Name guests because of his FOX Business tie-in.  I've noticed several have hours where they haven't had a guest at all.  With the death of Fred and retirement of Charles, the I-Man may not be 100% - he's relying too much on repeating guest gimmicks (one of which includes his wife).

He's still heads above any local shows if you are interested in National/Political; but, that audience is like Imus, growing old.

I've read that Imus' contract at WABC expires in December 2012. In 2007 he said he wouldn't sign another one. Joking? Maybe, but a station might be reluctant to add him under these circumstances. He is 71 and nobody really knows what his health situation is.

In Raleigh, you can get him on tv.

Hang on, this might sound confusing.

If your tv has a Time-Warner box... It's on channel 1404.

If you don't use the box/have Direct tv/ect... simply inquire if they carry Fox-Bidness News.

Currently he is only signing one yr deals... maybe due to age?

This should help track down the I-man, in your area.

My guess, is that Imus is valuble to Fox, becuase peo will ax their cable carrier to add Fox Bidness News.
