Classic CHR 80's style
« on: May 08, 2012, 09:50:34 AM »

I wonder is there a station or stations around on internet with an Classic CHR format with 80s music and dito imaging and processing, like the old Z100 New York City days?

Keep in mind, if you are tired of corporate radio. You have the choice of listening to thousands of small market operators.

Journey 100 in Pensacola was sort of like that. Now it is news/talk WCOA.

They had the old flamethrower jingle package.

It was run up the chain to the regional programmer, and then approved by the hired consultant. Did I miss someone that wasn't on the memo"

There's still two other Journey stations around, with similar jingles: Journey 97.9 in Atlanta, and Journey 93.3 in Huntsville, AL.

Also, although they have a 60's/70's/80's classic hits format, two stations that have a very 80's CHR-style presentation are WJMK (K-Hits) Chicago and WOCL (Sunny FM) Orlando.

Mmm, the Journey stations is not what I'm looking for. It sounds more like a mainstream Hot AC. Also processing and imaging is also from this time.
K-Hits and WOCL sounds like what I mean but very broad playlists.
