After reading the press release, it looks like the only reason why they've been given a chance to come back, is because they have teamed up with JamTraxx Media, Inc.
http://www.jamtraxxmedia.com/. They are probably backing them financially so that they can afford royalty fees, among other things. If running a radio station like this or any other venture is your passion, even if it is just a side job/hobby, you should find a way to run it on your own financially. If you can't afford it, let it go and move on. I think it's sad that if the money is gone, you have to "ask for a handout" and team up with another corporation/entity just to cover your ass. Just my opinion.
Seriously? You should give up on your dreams just because you have no money or resources to keep it going by yourself?
If that was the case, MANY of today's successful companies would not even exist today. Hello... Apple? Microsoft? Starbucks? Google? Or how about companies where demand was so high that they could not afford to catch up and needed cash infusion via grants, angel investors, or even the help of other people?
Yes, Will works for us and has produced mixes under the RadioMixes banner for almost a decade. He was also a colleague of mine at Energy 92.7/5 Chicago and 103.7 KISS-FM Milwaukee.
This is the year of expansion for JamTraxx Media. After much success in radio syndication it is definitely time for JamTraxx Media to also revisit our web streaming roots and make some progress on a consumer model. So no, Will didn't come to us asking for a "handout." We came to him. We acknowledged a brand that has recognition and still has potential. As we move forward in a more-mobile world, memorable brands will be the key to future success.
