Felger and Mazz on TV
« on: May 09, 2012, 04:59:21 PM »

It seemed, as I watched on Comcast, that there was a dearth of commercials on the TV simulcast of the Felger and Mazz Show. So having an hour to kill, I logged the 4-5 PM hour today.  For your entertainment purposes only:
4:13 PM (early spot break after the disturbing breaking news of the death of Carl Beane) ---
                  Felger and Mazz Promo
                  Home Shopping Network Promo
                  Craftmatic Adjustable Bed
                  Nissan (presenting sponsor)
                  Amica Insurance
                  Sportsnet Central Promo
                  Comcast Promo
                  Sports Tonight Promo
     4:19 PM Marc Bertrand Update
     4:20 PM Return to Show
     4:37 PM Sports Tonight Promo
                  Furniture Fix
InstaHang       These 3 commercials are the "wait, there's more" variety of commercial
                  Flex Seal
                  Baseball Show Promo
                  Sports Tonight Promo
                  Felger and Mazz Promo
     4:43 PM Marc Bertrand Update
     4:45 PM Return to Show
     4:52 PM Craftmatic Adjustable Bed
                  Behavioral Health Center
                  Dragon Speech Softwear
                  Amica Insurance
                  Nissan
Fast Brite Lens Restore ("wait, there's more")
                  Celtics Promo
                  Sports Tonight Promo
                  Felger and Mazz Promo
                  What is the One Promo
     4:58 PM Return to Show
Now, in addition to questions about the length of commercial breaks (a common and justified complaint about the old format on WEEI), I was simply wondering --- does it seem like Comcast is making enough money on this hour of broadcasting?  Or is it simply that anything they put on TV that time of day won't bring many dollars into the till anyways.  Sometime when I have time, I may try to do the same thing for an hour of Dennis and Callahan on NESN.  Just curious what you thing.

D and C have a lot medical commercials clearly designed to appeal to the Medicare crowd.  There's not much of an audience for either on TV.

The CSN spot breaks sometimes don't match up to the SportsHub breaks so they have to be padded with promos.

Maureen, I've wondered, is there a reason that at the top of hours (actually dont remember if its each hour) but there is the Comcast update as opposed to Bertrand's?
