ALL THE HITS.

April PPM's

Some interesting things I've noticed...

KISS is the preferred CHR over Q102, not only in PPM but overall AQH as well. Q took a hit.
Warm is finally slowing back down after the after-xmas boost they had. Rewind is the preferred AC.
96 Rock still leading in rock with AQH. With the right promotion, they can knock WEBN out of the water even more.
Great Country is doing just the same amount of numbers, if not worse than it was before when it was Journey. Cumulus really hates that frequency, no pun intended, don't they? They love to flip fast, so maybe we'll see something new by summer.

Q seems to go up in some months then level off a bit in other PPM samples. Q is more Adult than Kiss, so that helps them in the more desired 18-34 demo. Cumulus does promote 96Rock at the Reds home games with The KISS Cam and they have their first free summer concert coming up. They need to put country on 96.5 and Rock on 94.1 if they really want to kill off WEBN.

Awesome idea. Though where they currently are they do give Dayton another rock alternative to WTUE.

Reds baseball helped WLW a ton, but two observations, WARM is sinking fast (maybe they should play Christmas all the time) and ESPN1530 (WCKY) shows no rating at all for the month (WOW).

Man, That's bad for 1530, especially being a 50kw signal. I use to listen to them when they had Fox sports. Now, not much at all. ESPN Radio stinks.

Dayton also has WXEG 103.9 which is Premium Choice.

WRRM has no personality which is one reason why they are sinking. If Cumulus was smart they would do what Hubbard has done with Q102 and have a strong lineup with at least a mornng show similar to Jeff & Jen. I have a feeling though Cumulus may be planning something else with the station, like CC, they aren't known to spend money on talent and programming.

Warm 98's sinking numbers must be why they cut the Smooth Jazz Sunday brunch down to 3 hours (7-10a) instead of 5 (7a-12p) as it used to be. Of course having a live, local morning show to compete with Jeff & Jen on Q would also help them. We've also seen them try to become a bit more "newer" with their AC selections but I guess it isn't working yet.
