This is my favorite Bob Conners tribute video:

WTVN "The Morning Monarch"

A look back at the amazing career of Bob Conners who retires November 30, 2011 after near 40 years at WTVN Radio.

Radio has changed so much in the past 20 or 30 years.  No one outside of my radio circle of friends has even mentioned Bob hanging up the head phones.  That has surprised me.

I wonder if Bob will be remembered 20 or 30 years from now and as fondly as say Spook or the Early Worm or even John Fraim?

I will!

Provided I am still here in 20 years; I remember Spook, the Early Worm, and John Fraim, and Wes Hopkins, among others.

Wes Hopkins.  For years I thought he was saying Wesson Chemo instead of Wes and Kemo.  Good memories.

Any news on Bob Conners maybe doing part time work in radio? Just think there may be a chance he may consider doing some part time radio work.

This tribute won an award:

Oddly about a week ago I had a dream that Bob agreed to come back to host Saturday Morning Open phones under the guise to bring some class back to the program.
