WPTW Website (any updates coming???)
« on: May 19, 2012, 04:02:54 PM »

WPTW in Piqua was purchased back in December by Muzzy Broadcasting, and has since been given FCC approval.
A new logo has since been adopted...which is very much similar to that of Muzzy-owned 97.9 WSPT

So when will we see a "new" 1570WPTW dot com?

Current website still has the old logo used since the Frontier ownership and still lists John Leese as station manager who has since departed the station.
Bob Luby's photo is still on the current site (is he still there? I thought he stepped down to become a school superintendant.) Huh

Duane Bachman and Ted Jay (I understand) has returned to the station, who was there previously when Frontier Broadcasting owned the station.

I've just looked at their current site (http://1570wptw.com/) and it is very basic. However, is another site needed? This one conveys the basics and a link to their online stream.

The new owners may have concluded they don't need to invest in one at this point.

Thanks for bringing this station up though. I can access their stream here at work and the music mix is A-OK.

They should, however, fix the broken link on the program schedule.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I last listened to WPTW on my AM/FM radio, they're now running the True Oldies Channel feed.

That's correct. The format is True Oldies.

They run ABC news at TOH.

Thanks UM for the comment...but the site should at least add the new "True Oldies" logo to the site, then fix the program schedule link and update the station staffer page.

Nothing much has changed since the new owner has taken over. I have heard rumours of a FM translator and other improvements. It is getting to the point where I will believe it when I see it.

The stream isn't working for me, but I agree that the site does look good.
