Yeah, this doesn't suck at all. Love the mix! I must say, hearing music again on 103.7 makes my heart feel good

You can see the whole recently played for Chuck FM/Greenville on their site, to give an idea of what to expect from 103.7: http://www.977chuckfm.com/lsp/

Maybe if some of you are really good boys and girls, COX will bring something similar to that in the Atlanta market. Which cox station could use a face lift? I don't think it would be the river. I'm thinking B. Not sure if COX would have the same formats so close to each other BUT cumulus did when 100.5 was Quality Rock. 105.5 out of Macon was also Quality Rock.
Not like you can get 103.7 in Atlanta anyway.

Apparently, as far as I have heard, it is a "launching pad" station, so to speak: See how the WE PLAY EVERYTHING format works out and use it in other markets. This is the full "official signal" or non-translator "Chuck" station.

When Cox launched Chuck-FM in Greenville, I was wondering if it was a guinea pig, so to speak (it's got an awesome signal for a translator, BTW, covers all of the market pretty much) - they're obviously pleased with it, seeing that it's expanding. The "original" Chuck-FM to use this logo, playlist, etc was WAVF in Charleston, SC, 101.7 Chuck FM.
If Cox has something that works, they like to spread it around. Think of The Eagle ("River" in ATL's case), The Point, etc.

Is it a satellite format, like "Jack FM", since other stations are "Chuck FM" in Green Bay and Greenville?
Never mind that, I love it.

I liked Cox's old 80s "Point" format...I guess an all-80s format has run its course.

Chuck isn't satellite. *Most* Jack-FM stations in larger markets aren't, either (there's a separate Jack satellite format for smaller markets). It's more of a licensed brand/logo, I think.

Nice that that format will be heard in Athens. Charleston's Chuck is a very eclectic station. They have not had a personality on the station since it started, but it almost always gets between a 4 and a 6 share in the local ratings. You can hear almost anything from the 70s (even some late 60s) to now on there except for country.
