WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEERRRRSSSS!!!

Things are getting so crazy here in Northern New England, I might need to dust off Milk Maid Mary out of the barn and have her sort through this nastiness, craziness, and SPECULATION!

So was I TOTALLY wrong and blind like Helen Keller in my last post...my apologies!

However...Mr. Shapiro IS part of the situation, and HOLY MOLY it looks like things could get interesting as him and Governor Bill work together to put this to bed and help Lou open up a sausage shop in JAWZEE next weekend...right in time for Memorial Day!

Can't wait to see the results of the auction...it's like waiting to see who the prize winning calf is at the Fryeburg Fair!

Today's front page of Radio-Info.com says that Binnie was the winner today.

COCKADOODLEDOOOOOO....

Wow...Binnie and Shapiro walk away with 30...HOT DIGGEDY DOG I SAID THIRTY...stations for only $12.5 million. 10 years ago, WTHT would've gone for $12 mil ALONE. Pull out the pulled pork and strap Granny to the rocking chair, because Bin-piro just walked away with the "Deal of the Century"! Tell em' what they've won Wink Martindale!

What does Binnie get? All of Portland? Will he keep it to spread his presidential bid to the great state of Maine...or will Townsquare Media want to hitch their wagons to the Bin-meister and buy that cluster from him since he wants New Hampshire?

Will the metropolis of Vermont and the UV go to Jeff?

WOW...This is CCCRRRRAAZZZZYYYY!!!

Actually, the news today is rather old news but more of a confirmation. The real news is what is going to happen to all of the employees?  Who will stay and who will go?  I hope everyone has their resume up-to-date.  Nerves will be strained in the weeks to come!

Carlisle does not have a radio infrastructure, so the people at those stations might be in a fine situation if Binnie is in it for the long haul. They appear to be building at his TV station - I've heard report that the staff there has more than doubled.

Def curious on the staffing situation...there are several former Upper Valley Radio (that shapiro owns) employees that jumped ship to nassau years ago

Here's the thing no one has addressed in any of the print articles so far.  Jeff/Great Eastern already owns enough in the UV that he will have to spin off most of what he has at present, if the goal is truly to reacquire the stations he once owned in the Vox/Dynacom days.

What gets spun off, and who in turn does it get spun off to?  Does that include Barre and Newport VT too?  Is Binnie only interested in Concord and Maine?

Whatever personal grudges might exist following their departure, I keep Traci and Paul on the Wolf.  It's just good business.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Well hum dinger crack-tastic Mr. Karlow...you are so intellectual for those of us on these boards!

Bessie just me read an article with the ol' Concord Monitor, and it strictly...essentially...and supercalifragilistically says that Gov-nah Bill Binnie is going to be the owner of 95.3/107.1 in the UV pasture. Great Eastern gets everything else...Bin-meister only gets 95.3 and 107.1.

Does that mean Bill is taking the Wolf to the backshed? I need some meat for the wintertime so if he can share the carcass with me and Granny that would be great!

I still think he sells Portland to Townsquare...Cumulus...or the Blueberries! Mmmm...speaking of blueberries, I need some of Granny's fresh pie...tastes best when she gets straight out of bed!

Lata my farm friends!

I have on very good authority that Portland won't be sold to Townsquare or anyone else.
