It seems that Gen X Radio keeps disappearing. Today St Louis dropped Gen X and switched to Classic Rock as "The Brew". One thing I found interesting on The Brew's home page is a box at the top asking "Looking for Gen X ?'' ''Try GenX Louisville" http://brewstlouis.com/main.htmlI have noticed more 80's music on GenX lately. I wonder how much longer ''100.5 GenX Radio'' will last.

Gen X Louisville has always been the most successful. Plus it was the first. I'm sure it will last a few more years and my guess it will flip to Hot AC.

With Gen X gone in Columbus, OH awhile back to Alternative and now the first Gen X in St Louis now gone.. I am guessing eventually Louisville will also take a different direction Personally as someone who grew up in the 90s.. I really liked the format.

Or WHAS-FM. Heard the new name when I was driving home on iheartradio... Wish lexington would flip 94.5 to a Gen-X but sometimes I can get 100.5 here in Lexington. Hope it sticks around for awhile. If not WHAS put the FOX back where it belongs.

Or WHAS-FM. As long as we're armchair quarterbacking....... WHAS goes to 100.5, 790's "intellectual property" moves to 840 and 790 becomes a format to be named later.

I know to never say never, but I doubt if we ever see the demise of the 840 signal. It won't be the demise but more of an evolution. 840 is nothing more than a distribution point. 790 has a usable signal during the day and an atrocious night signal. Moving WHAS to 100.5 would help attract a younger demo while sports on 840 would make sense for a better night time signal. It's a long shot that it would happen but on paper makes sense. The real motivation would revolves around how WHAS is doing attracting listeners the ad agencies desire.

Moving whas away from 840 frequency would be a very stupid move no ifs ands or buts!!! You dont mess with something that has been on 840 for as long as it has. I never thought cc should have moved the fox from 100.5 but that was only 12 years. It wasnt that big a deal at least not compared to moving whas from 840.
But move whas from 840 horrible idea and should never happen!!!
