Maybe EMF has taken over already or the people running it now have decided to save money. It's been off the air a couple of days now.

EMF will not take over until the sale closes with FCC Approval.   My guess if they are off air or running lower power its the current owners saving a little cash. [or doing a little house keeping before it's no longer theirs]

Repeating myself from an earlier post, but I'm guessing around Labor Day.  In San Antonio the flip of 97.7 came around 14 weeks after the sale announcement.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I don't see where the application to reassign the license of either station has been filed.

It either hasn't been filed with the Commission yet or hasn't hit the FCC's public database.

If it's the former, then the clock really hasn't started ticking yet.

That would be correct.

103.7 is still on...but Saturday it appeared to be running at reduced power, or was using the auxiliary site.

KHJK has two licensed auxiliary sites, one of which is 100kw on the same tower as the main but with a little lower height.  The other one is located off Decker Drive adjacent to the Exxon-Mobil refinery in Baytown.  It's licensed for just 12.5 kw with considerably less height, about 460 feet.

I'm thinking it's the Decker Drive site.  I'm not hearing any IBOC sidebands (allowing reception of KBPA!)  I don't think the aux site has IBOC.  We also have the reports that the signal has disappeared in Beaumont.

I noticed there are some comments on 103.7 fm's facebook page from listeners in Beaumont and also Vidor this morning that they are no longer picking up 103.7.  I love this station and it's AAA format. Too bad that it's about to end. Sad

I keep hoping the deal won't be consummated.  Sad
