Whatever you think of the EMF formats, it is probably the best use of a rimshot in this market, unless another Spanish language format is launched to target Houston's heavily Hispanic east end, where the rimshot signals are competitive. But we are probably at a saturation point for Spanish language formats for the time being.
Why couldn't it have been a Spanish language station going down instead of active rock? Oh well - at least I like Air-1. I just wish we hadn't had to trade something creative and good to get it.
I wonder if it is possible EMF is buying the station so they can improve it and try to sell it to KSBJ for NGEN? NGEN will have a huge hole in coverage over North Harris county, 103.7 would cover half that hole. They will need something else for Northwest, though.
