Has anybody in miami heard this station besides me ?? ive been listening to them for a few months now and they play dance/club music. their sort of a mixture of party931 and power 96, obviously they are a low power fm due to both 99.1 and 99.9 being at 100,000 watts.. to me their most likely a pirate but ive messaged them a few times and they claim to have FCC credentials and also say they are legit.. hmmm i dunnno they have a website www.dance995.com and they also are on facebook. can anybody corroberate that this is a new legit station ? btw they also broadcast in HD

The only thing showing up is a CP for a FM translator at Florida International University. At 13 watts you would hear it on campus. Call the station and tell them you are going to stop by to see their public file. That will end all speculation.
According to the database. FIU has one on 96.9

We have never heard of a pirate, an LPFM, or a translator running HD, if fact we don't even know of any digital class A station, running HD, although their surely must be a few out there.

I was down there for Memorial weekend and they were jamming in the mix!!!! A great mix of up tempo Hip-Hop and Pop music. As we traveled towards Halouver Becah it started to static though. The RDS in the car even displayed "DANCE 99 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND."

WDJS is an AM licensed to Mt Olive, NC. W258BQ is a 250 watt at 39' licensed operation at Homestead, but the FCC database indicates this is silent. Smells very pirate to me.

I hear it on the way to my workplace near the MIA Airport. I still hear it on the way home via Hialeah Gardens, but then, poof. My rental car, which shows RDS, does have a readout for this 99.5, but no calls or anything, just possibly title/artist. I saw CRAZY/PEOPLE listed, FWIW. cd

Maybe, given the signal, it is located near the Miami Cannibal HQ in the vicinity of the looooong gone WFAB studios on Biscayne. That would account for the smell...

CD, let me know where a line from your house through the station hits the coast. Do whatever it takes to attenuate the signal into your receiver. Fairly solid @ the all-new Marlins Stadium, I can do much better than that.
