WZQQ is silent because they are replacing their transmitter (something I have done in as little as 3 hours) and their FM (WSGS) is STILL at flea power after a lightning strike in August 2009. This requires an antenna repair or replacement...something I could have orchestrated 20 times or more in that period of time. To their credit, they do file for STA's religiously.

When I started in radio in 1967, most broadcast equipment used tube technology, all recorded music was played from records on a turntable by live DJ's, there was no satellite delivery...and radio was fun.

WMTC-730 has been dark for quite a while....certainly well over a year now.

Can anyone shed any light on WEKG-810 out of Jackson, KY?   They are still listed as active on Radio-Locator but I've not heard anything out of them in perhaps 5 years here in Lexington, or in even Richmond (which is much closer to Jackson), where I often visit.  They are supposed to be 5kw ND-Daytime.....
