Well, I could start a whole bunch of self-serving threads that aren't so much discussion-worthy, but are just chock-full of tidbits about me that only I would care about. Somehow though, I believe it's a violation of some TOS somewhere, so I don't do it.
After all, it's not a blog, it's a discussion forum.
Perhaps you could suggest a "Promote Yourself" section to the site Administrator.
