...iHeartRadio has chosen KCSN to be a Featured Station on their platform beginning June 1st.
We keep doing everything we can to improve the signal. Now take the KCSN Listener Survey at
www.kcsn.org. Let us know what you want to hear! As you know, I respect the passion of Radio-info members and pay attention.
Has anyone else noticed the very tinny-like, sound quality when streaming on iHeart? Comparing the KCSN stream on iHeart vs. directly via KCSN.org is like comparing the sound quality between a transistor radio and a fully equipped home sound system. I have tried to stream KCSN on iHeart using different browsers as well (IE9 & Chrome) but the effect is the same.
Regarding signal, happy to hear of the efforts in place, but as I am in Long Beach, I imagine that none of them will impact in-car reception here in this part of the county. I have noticed a very clear signal in West LA, which I presume is due to a booster located, I believe, near the Museum of Tolerance on Pico.
Programming idea - Sky, any chance that KCSN will launch a countdown show of the current top hits in AAA, similar to Spectrum on SiriusXM's weekly "Baker's Dozen" show? Here is their chart from this past week, as posted on Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/SiriusXMTheSpectrum]:
Baker's Dozen [6/2/12] - by SiriusXM The Spectrum on Monday, June 4, 2012:
1 Jack White Love Interruption
2 The Lumineers Ho Hey
3 David Gray Money (Thats What I Want)
4 Electric Guest This Head That I Hold
5 ZZ Ward Put The Gun Down
6 Blind Pilot Half Moon
7 Keane Silenced By The Night
8 Brandi Carlile That Wasnt Me
9 Neil Young & Crazy Horse Oh Susannah
10 Alabama Shakes Hold On
11 Counting Crows Untitled (Love Song)
12 Glen Hansard Love Dont Leave Me Waiting
13 Emeli Sande Next To Me
I have heard only some of these on KCSN - not the David Gray, Electric Guest, Blind Pilot, Neil Young & Crazy Horse (other tracks but not Oh Susannah), Alabama Shakes (heard I Found You but not Hold On), or Glen Hansard.
