12+ Mo-Su Bluewater has:

  • #1 A/C
  • #1 Country
  • #1 NewsTalk
  • #1 Rock

Breakdowns Mo-Su:

  • WQKS beats WMXS      12+, 25-49, 25-54, 35-64
  • WBAM beats WLWI       12+, 25-54, men 25-54, men 35-64
  • WACV beats WXFX       12+, men 12-24, men 18-34, men 18-49
  • WMRK beats WLWI-AM  12+, 25-54, 35-64

For the first time ever, Bluewater is the number #2 group in the market with a 23.7 share vs a 21.9 Cumulus.

Comments:

  • This is the a horrible book for WLWI. Rick and Bubba are (way) down and listeners didn't come back the rest of the day
  • Mix hasn't had two good books in a row
  • Y102 is BACK and is now the #1 station for Cumulus
  • Greg Budell is the most listened to morning man in the market
  • Gump has double-digit shares with men in afternoons and nights
  • Gump cume is up 71% since going up on the new tower...enough for Medibase to pick them up
  • Kool 95.7 didn't show up
  • The Ticket didn't show up
  • WNZZ didn't show up
  • Everything "Clear Channel" is about the same...they own the Urban shares (although 97.9 Jamz was a close 2nd to Hot 105.7)
  • 308,200 12+ market population...282,000 listen to the radio
  • Men lead women by almost 3 hours in TSL market-wide

Y102 is not back, they have no competition.

no, wait i take that back...Y102 does have competition, Mix 103...both stations sound the same.

Atleast Mix 103 has an experienced PD in JT Thompson while Y102 has a night jock trying to do mornings and uploading daily schedules sent from Jan jeffries.
