I know a lot of you didn't like Jen Brien's style, but at least her shows focused on serious subjects for the most part. I did like her a lot. Listening to McPhee go on and on yesterday about Whitney wearing diapers, and then having the listeners try to come up with a nickname for them was painfully bad radio. I felt like it was radio for 6th graders. If Jen was listening, she had to be scratching her head; "they got rid of me for THIS???"

This woman is embarrassing herself. Joking about the Sandusky child molestation case and playing the song Rubber Ducky. Sick stuff.

Is Michele still working at WCVB? I never saw any of her reports but it surprises me that the news department would hire such a biased reporter.

Listening to her is like driving past a car accident, you don't want to look but it is so bad you can't turn away. I tuned in a couple of times to see if she was going to do the same routine. One of the many things that bothered me about her was her attempt to paint herself as a tough street kid from East Boston (she actually grew up on the mean streets of Wakefield) who rides a Harley and took on the mob in New York, Miami and Boston. While discussing the Catherine Greig case, she mentioned that she is engaged. Of course, her soon to be husband is also a "former bad boy" with a past. So like Catherine Greig she knows what it is like to be attracted to a tough guy.
I was surprised that Ch. 5 hired her as well especially since she is very biased. I was told that they wanted her law enforcement contacts especially with the possibility of the Bulger trial coming up in November. Since I rarely watch Ch 5 news, I didn't see much of her. Now that she is back on the radio, I am sure she will be all over the place: commenting on Fox 25. writing for the Big Picture Paper and making appearances to promote her hastily written crime books.

I have never met Michele McPhee.
However I became friends with a woman ( and her husband ) who both were officers in the NYPD. I got to know them as they were huge NY Rangers fans and used to hang at Hickey's on 33rd St.
Both of them asked if I knew this phony reporter from Boston who covered the NYPD for the Daily News.
The woman died at the WTC and was a hero and her husband was furious that Michelle wrote that his wife was a friend. Rank and file NYPD members could not stand Michelle.

Why would you want WRKO to succeed with this show? It's simply awful. Nothing personal.

what I ment to say was, I hope WRKO can succed with their decicion of putting on her show
Their ratings went way down, I know you all don't like it, but this is an example, ok. Few months ago when I was home listenning to Laura Ingram back on Patriots Day in April, she had a few callers in this area, one was a lady in Saugus, Ma, another, the guy said he was from "Boston" Those two people, with them disregarding her show, they could've been the most important two listenners that could've drawn more listenners to their station. Because maybe those two listenners were "Faithful" listenners. But now, with her show gone, and they keep changing their programming, that's why their ratings went down.
WRKO has been around, God, ?? for as far as I can remember (I'm 37-man). That's why I said, in that case, "I hope they can succeed"
I heard Jen Brien show a few weeks ago, she sounded great. I thought her show was great. What WRKO should've done was keep her show (9am-Noon), Noon-3pm News from (Talk Radio Network), and Howie Carr 3pm-??

Program Management at WRKO has a lot they can do to make their station better. "America Tonight with Kate Delaney" is a great show. They shou'd've got her show when Doug left "Red Eye Radio" Kate's show has les commercials and more program content. That's just one of many (good) ideas I have for them But as I said before They know what they want, not me. These are just ideas, not to hurt no one
