He isn't technically the prog dir of the station--he buys time from WWZN's owners, but he is in charge of the time he buys. They do have other programming including Red Sox in Spanish. Santos hosted a show on WXKS and WKOX when they were "Boston's Progressive Talk" under Clear
Channel (Sun. afternoons, not daily).

Dan has a good point about signal strengths on radio-locator maps

>>0.5 mV/m is OK if you have a good radio and there is not too much interference (lamp dimmers etc) but it's not a signal you would discover accidentally on most radios. You'd have to be looking for it. Most listeners in urban areas will not bother with 2.5 mV/m....In this day and age, with all of the interference on AM, 0.15 mV/m is just marginally better than no signal at all.

With all due respect Mr. Strassberg you don't know what you are talking about. The Dial Global programs leaving 1510 have nothing to do with money. I can not go into detail but it has to do with Rebuild America competing in the same markets as the Dial Global Programs.

Santos is not behind on his bills. He is meeting his payroll every week and his employees are paid a very nice wage. Santos is expanding his Network and is currently on a  promotion tour to all his affiliates cities.

His backers are very happy with how the Revolution Radio Network is running and your speculation that "the house of cards is crumbling as no basis in truth or fact."

Why did Santos put DEmocracy Now at 12 noon on 1510 the SAME time it is broadcast on WZBC 90.3 FM?

If one wanted to find out where to listen to Rebuild America in affiliate cities, how would one go about finding that information?

If you reread my message, I think you will find that I didn't say Santos wasn't paying his bills; I said that I had heard a rumor (which I could not verify) that WWZN wasn't paying at least some of its bills. I also pointed out that WWZN, Revolution Boston (Santos), and Dial Global are separate financial entities. I did speculate that, if Santos were not paying WWZN, his failure to pay could be responsible for WWZN being unable to pay Dial Global. I did not say that I knew that to be the case. I tried to make it clear that I was speculating. When I am guessing or speculating, as I was in the post to which you are referring, I try to make that clear.

Anybody think that Dial Global would rather be on 1200 AM, while conservative goes to 101.7 FM?

You really think that CC is going to put "Lib Talk" on 1200 after it couldn't even muster a tenth of a point on 1510?

This IS a business, remember?
And it's a myth that every conservative talker or every right-wing station gets huge numbers.

Right you are.  All you have to do is look at the Salem talk stations, many of which on very competitive signals, and you will see practically no numbers.   But, year after year, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager and Michael Medved just keep pulling paychecks.

Possibly "Lib Talk" is headed to 101.7.  Or, in other words, using talk radio speak:  "All the lazy welfare libs who refuse to work along with their spoiled, OWS college students in the city will have 101.7, while all the rich, fat cat Conservatives who have McManisions outside the city in Westwood and Concord will have 1200".   Smiley

...well, they'll have 1200 at least until sunset, anyway...  Wink
