I just heard John Lisk (AN106.7) refer to UGA spokesman Pete Konenkamp.  That names sounds really familiar.  My fuzzy memory is telling me the old WGST/GRNS days?

You would be correct. Pete, John and the 'magpie" all worked together at GST/GNN back in the day.
Pete finally decided to get some 'honest" work. Smart guy!

By the way... in those days it was GRNS.  There were two networks:

GN - The Georgia Network
GRNS - Georgia Radio News Service (Grinzz)

I am glad he moved on to stable work.  Smiley

I thought Pete also worked with Paul Beliveau over at WMAZ/WAYS?

Thank you for your very kind comments. I have good memories of my days at WBML, WNEX, WMAZ, WMAZ-FM (I left before it became WAYS) and GRNS/GNN and no I'm not really a fussbudget.

Pete, AN106.7 has given you a lot of air time in the last few days.  Apparently, a little sex scandal is still big news in the south.  It is good to hear you on the air.

When I heard Pete, I dropped what I was drinking and stared.   Story?  Who cares!  Man, good to hear him again.
