David Guetta & Usher's "Without You" on AC

I was listening to my local Clear Channel mainstream AC station today (WSRW/Grand Rapids) and heard the song "Without You" by David Guetta and Usher. I guess it's part of CC's Premium Choice package.

Anyway, I was quite surprised to hear that song on a mainstream AC station. Supposedly it has charted somewhat high on the AC chart, but it just seems strange. It's a great song, but it illustrates the point that the lines are continuing to blur between Mainstream/Hot AC and CHR.

I had to do a double take this morning when I was listening to that station. At first I knew I'd tuned in to WSRW but then doubted myself - thinking I was actually listening to one of the CHR's instead. LOL

I think WLTW in New York is playing it too. Usher has his first AC crossover hit congrats to him.

I agree. Without You is heard on KXXO/96.1 in Olympia, WA. Listening to it, it should go straight to Hot AC playlists. Most of this crossover stuff was NOT fitted for AC!
