Let's just hope that Cumulus is in ALL NEWS 106.7 for the long hall.  The new all news station in Houston is just now up to a 1.0 share.  The Houston station keeps climbing, but slowly.  It is going to be a long road to become the place everybody turns to.
It takes time to build a talk station's listener base. Music is easy to sell to listeners, as people who want to hear their classic hits, country, alternative, will go there once they hear about it. It takes longer for people to get into news or talk personalities, so the time to build an audience will be longer. Radio One will continue to lose money here for some time, but give it another year or two and it will make serious money.

OKAY, SO LETS SAY:
WiLD 105.7 / 96.7 were on an exceptional or average sized signal. I bet they'd most likely be at a 5 share at the least. They'd probably be around a 5.5 or even higher.

I forgot when the new MD or PD stepped in and WiLD was improved, but I remember saying I couldn't wait until summer to see what ratings would do. Did I say that this year or last year? I don't remember.. but I think it's safe to say WiLD has passed the test and is here to stay.

Wow. This whole thing; It was like a soap opera.

Nah.  Just a game of ears and antennas and thrones.    He or she who has the most ears and antennas gets the throne.   Which the janitor hopefully cleaned.  Except it was probably some station staffer who got stuck with the duty that week.

But other than that, a game of thrones.
