Possible E-skip again today 6-12-12 from northern Ohio
« on: June 12, 2012, 02:53:17 PM »

While leaving work, on 98.9 was getting an alternative rock station calling itself '99X' playing a remake of Joe Walsh's 'Rocky Mountain Way' at around 4:19 PM Eastern Time. Heard this in Lorain. OH.

I did the hear the DJ say something about "Well if you're going to the Little Rock Show, you might want to..." then faded out then faded back in with that song playing.

Just checked KTUX's webpage and they indeed played Rocky Mountain Way at the time that I heard it here so that confirms it. Thanks, romer979fm!

I am willing to bet that you are most definitely getting a skip.

I'm located in near the panhandle of Texas and heard some reception out of Cleveland, and if I'm not mistaking...if I'm hearing Ohio in Texas, you would hear Texas in Ohio?

Also hearing stuff out of the Carolinas and Virginia. Gotta love this time of year!

Yes, the skip goes both ways. I was getting other UNid skip coming in but all of it seemed to be confined to the Non-Comm section for the most part. Also, there is a new signal in Cleveland, OH on 87.75 MHz that is testing today with old Indians/Cavs jingles. It just started today. You might even hear that via E-skip if you're still getting Cleveland signals.

99X (99.3) is WJBX out of the Fort Myers Florida area. Impressive.
