Just installed 2 DASDEC units at a 6 station cluster.  They were a breeze to set up compared to the Sage digital boxes I have installed - about to install another DASDEC unit for one of my contract clients.  I couldn't see adding a CAP converter to 15-20 year old EAS boxes - no more thermal paper, messy ribbons or jammed printers!

Hey RF!  We haven't always agreed on everything, but on EAS, we are in the same boat. Our DASDECs were easy to set up and work great. I really like the reports they generate.  Makes my life much easier.  From a user point if view, doing a RWT doesn't get much easier than, "Push this button twice within 10 seconds, to send your test."  Since it is the only button, not even "talent" can get this wrong.

I also second the fine DASDEC II from Digital Alert Systems. The best EAS you can buy.

Maybe we should simply monitor the teenage kid next door?
