ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR 2013 ARSENIO LATENIGHT TALKER (CURRENTLY SOLD TO 52%)
« on: June 18, 2012, 05:12:03 PM »

2013 talk show has now been sold to 17 Tribune stations, CBS stations & Local TV.
----doesn't Local TV often just seem to be a branch of Tribune?
All Top 10 markets and 17 of the Top 20 are on board.

Is there a complete list of affiliates available?

Is there a complete list of affiliates available?

http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/486079-Arsenio_Hall_Returning_to_Late_Night.php

The above article lists the markets, at least so far, that will carry the new show.  It only mentions the Tribune, CBS, and Local TV LLC stations; Tribune will have priority over CBS in common markets (NYC, LA, Sacramento, DFW, etc.)

Here's the stations:

WPIX New York City
KTLA Los Angeles
WGN Chicago (doesn't say if it'll be on WGN America also)
KDAF Dallas-Fort Worth
WPHL Philadelphia
KBCW San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose
WSBK Boston
WUPA Atlanta
WDCW Washington, D.C.
KIAH Houston
KCPQ or KZJO Seattle
WKBD Detroit
WTOG St. Petersburg-Tampa
WSFL Miami-Ft. Lauderdale
WJW Cleveland
WPCW Pittsburgh
KTXL Sacramento
KRCW Portland, Ore.
KDVR or KWGN Denver
KTVI or KPLR St. Louis
WTTV or WXIN Indianapolis
WCCT or WTIC Hartford-New Haven
WITI Milwaukee
WDAF Kansas City
WGNT Norfolk-Virginia Beach
WGHP Greensboro-High Point
WXMI Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo, Mich.
WNOL New Orleans (Tribune also has ABC afilliate WGNO there)
WPMT Harrisburg-Lancaster, Pa.

Will these stations be replacing successful news and sitcom blocks with an early 90s has-been? Will this be a consistent time slot?

WQAD-DT3 (aka WBQD-26) yes, but not WHO because of their NBC affiliation and they wouldn't have a place for the show, likewise with WREG/Memphis.

Indications in Des Moines point to "Hall" going to either KDSM (which has a partnership with WHO due to its 9PM newscast), KDMI or KCWI, while in Memphis it'll end up on either Fox-owned WHBQ or WLMT.

This show looks to be novelty at first. THEN, A is gonna have to sell it, there is a lot of
competition, big competition in latenight. We've already got a McDonalds, Wendys, Burger
King, Subway and Arbys..................only the Krystal/White Castle crowd is left for A.

Tribune owns the Fox affiliate here in San Diego. I wonder why that station isn't on the list.

That was my mistake; it'll be on all Tribune-owned stations.
