No More Miller?
« on: June 19, 2012, 06:59:18 AM »

Browsing through the Carolina 92.1 website I notice that Tim Miller and his show have been removed.

Interesting...

The new owners have already been managing the station under an LMA. The assumption some of us had made was that Miller was the sole remaining employee of Double O and that he would be terminated post-LMA, since the new owner will be hands-on. Under an LMA, the licensee is required to have at least one employee on site to be their representative during an LMA.

Apparently they picked another employee to stay through the transition.  It appears Miller has moved on.  Or been moved on.

Does anyone have any idea what formats 92.1 and 94.3 are going to flip to?  Are they going to keep Good morning Columbia?  They just started, so I am curious if they give it a try or let them go and pretend it never happened.

When I saw this title, first thing that came to my mind was "Miller Communications." They really don't have much of a presence anymore either. LoL Anyway, I'm glad to see the tide is already beginning to shift at 92.1 and 94.3. Columbia needs some good competiton with the big wigs.

I bet this thread made Harold Millers mouth drop till he opened it.  I would like to see if 92.1 and 94.3 comes up with something new and different.

I was expecting to read that Harold had sold out to a consolidator, which would have been a shock.

The only shock here is that it took this long for the new owner to cut Tim loose.
