Why is that weird? They're two entirely different shows, separated from each other by eight years. Of course the 2012 show is going to be on different channels in many markets from the 1993-2004 series.

With Fox Chicago having the Chicago rights to the Ricki Lake's new talk show, I won't be surprised if reruns of her show appear on sister station, WPWR-TV, who carried her original show, & was WFLD's sister station at the time the show was cancelled.  The reason I say this, is because some syndicated programs that air on WFLD, sometimes get shown again on WPWR-TV in the different timeslot.

The big question is will people who watched her first show flock to the new version, since she is going the "Oprah" route? Having seen the promos, chances are that they will. But at this rate she also has "Katie", "Jeff Probst", "Steve Harvey" and even "Anderson" to deal with. Either way I expect her comeback to be good despite the competition.

Speaking of Steve Harvey, the talk show is being carried weekdays on KSTW CW11 this fall. Wonder if it will be placed next to the double-run of Harvey's Family Feud? "The Two Hours of Harvey, Weekday Mornings!"  Cheesy

The show's website gas yet to publish a list of stations and markets...making me wonder if they have all the markets signed up that they'll need to make a fall launch viable.

They probably won't list the stations until late July or early August, possibly to give stations time to schedule Lake. It should be noted that most of these stations are eyeing afternoon slots for the show.

I see that KONG has Jeff Probst. I have a feeling Katie Couric's new show won't be on KOMO [ABC]. There's NO way they are going to get rid of The Doctors, Live with Kelly and you-fill-in-the-blank, Dr. Oz or their First News at 4 to put a talk show on. The last syndicated show at 4PM on 4 I remember was the Jane Pauley Show [2004].

Speaking of KSTW, it looks like Steve (whose show will debut September 4th, 2012) is about to get paired up with "Maury's" British protege "Trisha" when she debuts September 17th (2012). This should make for interesting Daytime TV in Seattle.

Ricki Lake will be on in Wichita on KSNW (NBC, Channel 3), the same station that had her first show in the '90s.....

Then what happens to Millionaire and Jeremy Kyle? JK is on at 11AM on KSTW, WWTBAM at 10 and 10:30.
