San Antonio needs the True Oldies Channel which is better than KONO.   BMP, How about placing the station on AM 720, AM 550, or on 94.1?

Finally the station comes to Houston, well sort of.

Do they still own 97.5?  Or they sold that one as well?

94.1 is a Top 3 station within their demos.  Why would BMP dump the current format for True Oldies?

Maybe KONO should ditch the FM/AM simulcast and put True Oldies on 860 and tweak 101.1 to somewhat later material?

What about AM 550, or AM 720, also owned by Border?  AM 720 simulcasts on 104.1. Anotherwards move Norteno to 104.1 only and place TOC on AM 720.

I'd love it if KONO put their oldies on one of the clearer San Antonio signals.  550, 630, 680, 720 are all clear of the splatter than KEYH puts all over 860.  KEYH is a BAD neighbor!  The only thing they could do that is any worse than the splatter they cause now is add IBOC.  At times they almost obliterate 860, and I'd love it if that stupid KEYH would go off the air and leave 860 clear!  Or at least low pass their audio at 5 kHz.

760 has much weaker signal over Houston than the other SA low frequency AMs.

I seriously doubt anybody in San Antonio would flip just to give Houston an oldies station.  Some of the signals have really good strength in Houston, but none are strong enough for "rim shot" status.  They would have to have the signal strength like a KLVI or a KCTA to have a chance. It would be fantastic if somebody could buy KCTA and put something relevant on it.

Not with the current shares KONO is pulling.

It would be much easier for KONO to add the programming to it's 12 AM to 6 AM hour, like with KXBT in Austin.

Besides, the station is jockless after midnight, and the request lines aren't open.

As for, AM 760 Clear Channel would probally flip that to Jammin like they did on 103.1 in Austin.

True Oldies is on the HD2 because KHJK is in the process of being sold to EMF. Also, Cumulus manages the network through a subdivision.
