Tribute page to the late Jim Packard of Whad Ya Know

>>Wisconsin Public Radio is sad to announce the death of our longtime friend and colleague, Jim Packard. Jim retired from WPR in December 2010, where he served as a producer and fill-in host on The Larry Meiller Show. His warm, friendly voice was heard throughout the day on station announcements and each weekend on Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know?.

"It's Whad Ya Know from Public Radio International. That's John Thulin at the piano, Jeff Hammann on bass, Clyde Stubblefield on drums, and I'm Jim Packard. In this hour of Whad Ya Know, thanks for the memos, the Whad Ya Know quiz, and a salute to (town). And now the man who (joke)...Michael Feldman!...Those categories are people, places, things you should have learned in school had you been paying attention, science, and odds and ends."
