I thought I saw earlier today that this "dark" station has been sold. What now, brown cow?

Purchased by Bob Anthony Fogel of EMF. Looks like "Positive, Encouraging K-LOVE" is comin' to Spokane. Seriously, I can't believe how many religious stations are in Spokane. You've got KMBI, KSPO, KKRS 97.3, KEEH, KTSL, and others, and now this!

...and a partridge in a pear tree.....

Like I said, how many religious stations can one market SUPPORT? Tom Read is the only guy out there who can support such a station and make it matter. The rest are bird-fed follow-alongs.

People can hash out the "differences" all they want, but last I checked, there's only one God. What matters to THEM are people's 'comfort' levels. And last I checked, Jesus wasn't hip with that.

You move into Spokane, you live with the radio there. Holy or not.

But I actually thought Tom Read's B/EZ version of KEZE on 96.9 (1998) was kind of interesting. A REAL throwback... Granted NOBODY (even in Spokane) listened to it.....Well, maybe except me (occasionally) it always stood out in it's own awkward way.....(mono, mostly vinyl sourced, LOUD)

Bob hasn't been an active part of EMF in quite a while.

And everyone but KEZE bird fed followers?  Please! Consider that all the rest of the Christian stations are non-commercial, and that unless you have access to the ENTIRE ratings picture that includes non-comm, you'd have no idea that one of those non comms has a 3.8 share 12+.

Regardless, there's too many religious stations here

Will be interesting to see what evolves with 107.1.    There is not a K-LOVE affiliate in Spokane----so that is always a possibility.   "Air-One" is currently on 101.9/KTSL.    So perhaps that would be the next possible progression.   Or it could be something else---just have to wait and see---or in this case---"wait and hear!"   IF only the signal problems can be resolved.  The transmitter/tower is north of Deer Park near Loon Lake and the signal shoots right over Spokane--the downtown area--you can pick it up ok on the northside and on the south hill and in the valley and even in Post Falls and C'da.    Wish I had a crystal ball!!

I am thinking that K-Love is a good guess.  Reportedly the new calls are KPKL.

Oh great. More "K-Hate". I have NEVER liked K-Love or Air 1 or whatever junk they operate.

Turn the tower into a bird sanctuary?

Honestly, I'm surprised it's not been turned back into the FCC and deleted. Most of its city grade signal is over sparsely populated areas. If there is a term for a station that is lesser than a rimshot, KAZZ would be it.

The godsquad are the only types that would be interested in it. Anyone wanting to make a profit, knows that KAZZ isn't worth looking at for 2 seconds.

I've never understood why it wasn't relocated down to Tower Mountain and downgraded to a Class A. A Class A overlooking Spokane could have some use. I've heard rumors that it's landlocked due to protected contours.
