Rush Out In Rutland
« on: June 27, 2012, 04:36:07 AM »

WSYB/1380 is replacing Rush Limbaugh with another offering from Premiere Networks, Jim Rome. Lest you think it's a side effect from "Flukegate," the station had contemplating canceling Rush for a couple of years.

While I don't like it personally I can understand the decision.    I bet the Rome show is a straight up barter and Rush was costing them plus taking ad time away.    And if you were to listen to Rush on WSYB you hear a lot of Public Service Announcements.   Listen to a lot of syndicated programming on the Catamount stations and you hear more than the normal share of PSA's.   They have too much unsold inventory to be paying for shows.
