Is 92.9FM going toward a "spoken word" format? Competition for 106.7, Sports, or News/Talk?

CBS radio news is in a deal with WSB.  Don't know how long the affiliation deal is for but most of these things are for at least a year.  CBS and Cumulus have a "distribution deal" for CBS Sports.  That eliminates sports.  What other kind of spoken word format would 92.9 run?

Oh Hell turn it to preaching..................

I could see them going for a JACK format..........which would be a bit better than what they
have now.

Some past theories were CBS was considering an all news station and and it would end up on 92.9.  Cumulus beat them to the punch and now 92.9 is a station in search of a format.  I do believe that a station programmed as well as WCBS-FM would work in this market.  It would definitely cause some tweaking at the other oldies stations.

I'd like to see them play hits predominantly from the 70s and 80s with maybe just a little 60s mixed in and add some decent personalities. But it has got to be upbeat and fun.

And I even think the 80s new wave weekends might work on that station.

Definitely needs to be upbeat, DAVE sounds like some one in slow motion, blow it up.

CBS launched an all news station in Washington DC and they do not have the rights to CBS radio news but they are not doing that here. Why would Cumulus prevent 92.9 from going sports, its possible that 680 could end up  CBS sports radio 24/7 and CBS/Cumulus makes some side deal to move the Fan to 92.9. Not saying likely but CBS known for its sports FM stations and with a deal with cumulus would have some play by play and established talk shows.
