I don't know why anyone would bother being a Dish subscriber.  If you're going to go satellite get Directv.  Dish is constantly in the middle of these programming disputes, and they don't carry half of the RSNs.

I agree. What a joke! Why are they still in business? Or better yet, HOW do they stay in business?
They seem to be the "we can drop a channel at any time" company, which indeed sucks!

Half? Since when does YES, SNY, and CSN NW (which DirecTV doesn't carry either) constitute half?

It would be no big loss for me if IFC and WE were dropped, but I do watch AMC at least occasionally.

I was flipping around and noticed that Sundance (another channel I rarely watch) had a trailer saying that Dish was dropping them as well. What's happening there?

I'm satisfied with Charter Cable, but if I were to change back to a dish, it would definitely be DirecTV. Dish does pull these stunts way too much, even if it's a channel I don't care about, and it would be a major reason for me not to get them.

Good!.  I wish more of these carriers would stand up to the programmers.  I am sick & tired of paying extra fees for shows & channels I never watch.

In most of these past cases it has just been a last minute ploy..........and then a deal is
reached. If this turns out that way................then give a black eye to Dish.

If people want the price of cable/satellite to stop rising, they need to support Dish when they drop channels.
