Z 88.9 on 95.1 weak signal
« on: July 05, 2012, 01:26:30 AM »

The past few days I noticed that I couldn't get Z88.9 on W236AF, the 95.1 translator atop the Burlington Bristol Bridge, that well. Seemed like I could only hear it within a mile or two of the bridge. I used to be able to hear it well from Florence to Riverside before it went off for an extended period, now I could only hear it in Burlington itself, and that too with interference from WAYV and WZZO. I used to be able to hear it in spots in Trenton and Camden.

There is an issue with the transmitter.  A new one is coming

This morning I heard a nice strong signal of Z88.9 on 95.1 as I was on my way to the PHL airport.

Silly question, but are any of the old 4 WJJZ towers on Burlington Island still standing?  Curious.  I know it's been a long time since sign-off (local sunset, 11-1-82).  I'm the one who pulled the plug on the Harris Vanguard 1 backup, turning off the plate HV, then sadly, the filaments that night.
