I am puzzled - I thought they were moving CKGM to 690.

Would RDS-990 be making the move instead?

According to the article -- most likely, meaning that 690 would remain French, instead of becoming English.

The switch to 690 is supposed to occur in the first 2 weeks of August.  One interesting thing is that the application was submitted on serving the English speaking audience which is on the west side of the island and beyond.  I really think it's only a 50/50 chance of actually going through.  There are going to be a lot of interventions filed for sure.  Many have already done so.

In other Montreal news...an application has been filed to reactivate 600 AM for an all talk station by Tietolman and company, using the facilities of the old CFCF/CIQC.
