They seem to be running loops of laughter and applause, while their translator on 100.5 is airing the normal talk format. Aren't the translators supposed to relay the AM signal?

Don't know if they have in mind? Seperate format? I thought they had to duplicate the AM as well.

They do.  I suppose it's possible the talk the translator's running has been moved to some FM station's HD2/HD3/HD4 subchannel?

Maybe they are gonna have the comedy network kinda like what one of the stations in NC and KS runs... CC1

The translator is relaying the signal of 104.9 HD2, which is where the original WNTA format is now.
