Union soccer games on 610 WIP-AM

I don't even know where to begin with this. Why would KYW carry the games of a team that nobody really cares about?

Ah, Julius, I thought you LIKED KYW.  Why would they want to drive away all of their listeners for a few hours by airing a sporting event no one cares to hear?

KYW carried the Phillies for one season.  Did not repeat that for obvious reasons.  You drive away listeners who want to hear your product. KYW is the most listened to AM station because they do not make stupid decisions, like airing soccer!

I am not happy that WIP hasn't aired a Union game yet. It doesn't make any sense. Why did WIP sign a contract with the Union to carry their games in the first place. I really wished that KYW would make a sacrifice and start carrying all of their games for the rest this season and beyond. I wouldn't mind if they did that. At least the team will get major exposure on a major radio station like 1060.

How would traffic on the 2s work?  Would they have a 3rd person in the booth to do traffic reports every 10 minutes between the shouts of Gooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllll?

I actually listened to the game last night.  About 20 minutes of it.  The announcers, whoever they were, seemed to me to be doing a good job.

They kept it fast paced and told everything.  In recent years I have had problems with the Phillies' radio PBP guys who do not remember they are not on TV.  We cannot see the game, so they need to be more descriptive. That was not a problem with the Union game.
