HAPPY NEW YEAR
« on: January 02, 2006, 09:16:39 PM »

This don't really have anything to do with radio directly, however if it weren't for Dick Clark shaping music throughout the years, I'm not sure what the radio stations would be playing right now.  This man basically started Rock N Roll.  Anyway, it sure was great to have Dick Clark back to count down the New Year.  I have to say it was kind of shocking and sad to see a person that just seemed indestructable to be in his condition.  It was good to see him back and it sent a strong wakeup call that this man IS human and our days with him are numbered.  He really showed alot of courage facing millions of people on New Years Eve.  His stroke last year left me wondering if we'd ever get to see him again.  Thankfully he gave us the chance to see him and experience his legendary magic atleast one more time.  I'm sure he has worked hard since his stroke to get to the point he's at now.  I'll take him over Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly, and Regis Philbin all put together.  It was good to see him getting on with his life and hopefully he'll be around for another 76 years.  Happy New Year
