London's 102.2 Jazz FM is no more :(

Hello everyone

The other day I tried to listen to London's Jazz FM and they have apperently changed thier format to "102.2 Smooth FM" whatever that is.  I heard a few hours of Smooth FM on the net and I must say it's not too bad, but I do miss alot of the classic soul and I miss the "dinner jazz" program they had.  If truth be told I feel a little out of place writing about a Jazz er "former jazz" station as I live in the states and to make a long story short the jazz that is played on american radio could not ever touch what Jazz FM was.  What exactly is Smooth FM, how is it different then Jazz FM What do you think of the new format, I personaly will have to listen for a few more days before I can make a educated judgement.  In closing my question to London would be What do you think of the new format? and what exactly is it compared to Jazz FM?

Basically, Smooth FM is a dilution of the original Jazz FM format, because 102.2 Jazz FM was not a commercial success.  So its playlist was widened to include other African-American-Carribean influenced music.  

JazzFM as it stands has gone but jazzfm.com still exists, it's gone to be an online-only station.
