good we can hear the same old syndicrap that we can get anywhere else online with good quality...on the positive side I think the radio star winner is good-but I bet she gets boxed-in with the new happy talk format..

On the more plus side, high-quality streaming of CBS' Vegas Fm's are not far behind.

Actually it would be neat to have KMXB streaming... since moving away I'd like to listen sometimes.

KMXB and KXTE are next in line.  The word is sometime in mid March.

Interesting how FMWHORE knows so much about KMXB and KXTE when he/she supposedly works for Lotus. =)
I think it'll be interesting to see what KMXB plays on the HD/Streaming. I wonder if their angle would be more modern or a 90's only format? Afterall, it has been one decade of bringing the music first to Las Vegas. When exactly did Mix go on the air anyway?
KXTE will probly set its coarse on Riviera's Area 108. That would be the smartest way to go since Riviera has applied for an upgrade. The approval is set for sometime this April so I hear from my friend Dennis. If they get the approval for the upgrade, KMXB,KKJJ and KXTE need to worry about how many listeners they'll lose.
Its not all men who listen to Area. More woman say they switched from the "Bubble Gum-Kelly Clarkson" sound of Mix, the "I Dont Know What I'm Listening To" on Jack and "What kind of -ROCK- do you call this" on KXTE. Knowing how Riviera is (Being being that I lived In Pheonix 4 years ago and loved The Edge) I know that Area will open the eyes of a few PD's hear in Vegas and give them a run for #1.

jackster...you ask what kmxb will play on streaming...

hmmm.

i dunno...maybe, lets say, kmxb. it will be an actual feed of the station with commercial breaks covered up by songs or a live feed from the kmxb bathroom.

as for hd...when they DO go the hd route, dont expect them to have anything in hd2 from the starting gate. like most stations, it takes some time for stations to start using that other channel. but whatever any of these stations choose, expect it to NOT sound like its main channel (XTE will likely NOT go the rock route, if history is any indication).

and how did this become an anti- any station post? its a streaming thread. save your hate for another thread. us peace-loving hippies need a place to loiter.

cbs rocks my socks. it's a great company. i have many friends at cbs and am greatful to have many a good references from there. kmxb is a class act of a station.  the staff is great.  the product is stellar. kmxb doesn't bash artists or other stations on their airwaves.  they just enjoy what they do and it shows on the air.  they aren't out to have an ego trip and pretend their better than anyone. they just succeed by being themselves.  i think, with that said, people are always going to be jealous of their success.  i myself included.  but, i don't bash kmxb like jackster does.  i think it's an amazing sounding station, and one of the 3 that i actually like listening to in the valley.  plus, my buds work there.  jason, kade, aubry jean, and chad.  love those guys.
