The WDJO jingles are back
« on: February 18, 2006, 01:14:09 PM »

Play the long top of the hour ID with the tympani drum at the beginning.  have someone yell "Florence" before they sing "Cincinnati."  I like hearing them.  It takes me back to my days at "1230 WDJO."  I'm probably the only one to notice.

I like the jingles on 'DJO much more than what CC was using for Real oldies. I always thought they sounded to much like the previous Nostalgia music format. Lets hope they keep them when the format launches on the 24th at 2pm.

> These jingles are not the same as the old WDJO,and sound nothing like them,as I recall, these are brighter sounding acapella's, but I am sure they have a whole lot more of them to roll out on the 24th along with the rest of the GOOD-GUY'S...Several of the jock's were at Jim & Jacks  tonight rolling out the WDJO Banner's. I was pleased how well the crowd got all excited when they were introduced on stage. They have something planned there next week.

OK Wiz.  If you say so.  That "WDJO-OH" sounds an awful lot like the one I played A LOT when I worked there.  And the "More Music!" is perfect except for the little effect at the end.  But, if you say so...

After a few "Little Kings" they all sound pretty good!  Let's see how old, how deep, how mainstream or obscure the music is.  And let's see if Dusty can come up with some snappy new jokes to pick on his last 2 employers.  "The King has Re-entered the Building"!
