For starters, I miss BOB. BOB had energy, BOB played new and FAMILIAR music, I just miss BOB.

The Wolf's imaging is VERY hokie (sp?), the jingles are mediocre at best, 4 talk-ups an hour make it hard to relate to the jocks, and their creativity is severely limited.

From what I understand, the H-man is ops manager for the UV cluster, and is PD of Oldies/Q/Score. Doug Welldon, who was brought in to fix the country station, is the PD of The Wolf ... I'd say that was a giant oops.

The station now is just there, and it isn't a good jukebox. I honestly can't remember the last time I tuned in and heard a familiar song.

KIXX has everything the original BOB had ... energy, edginess, and good music. I must say The Wolf sounds very VERY country (like back woods country), and maybe that will work ... but I think KIXX is going to have a better book with BOB gone.

My $0.02.

That is so disapointing!!!  And rather surprising that KIXX is allowed to be fun and have energy...what being CC and all!  It is really hard to develop personality and a relationship to the jocks with a limited number or STRUCTURED breaks...I assume it is tracked a lot now?

It's a shame about the programming change of the direct supervision in BOB...I mean The Wolf...Heath seemed to get it!!  Although I would hope he keeps a close Eye On The Radio!!!

I had heard a while back that J and T at KIXX may be giving up the thrown?  Any truth to that???

As is the case with the majority of the UV stations, most things are not live past 9AM ... with the exception of maybe live request lunch hours or live request drive hours.

I would doubt they'd give up that job. They were both off for a while, Traci for maternity leave and Jason for health reasons ... according to the website they're both back, and Traci did a remote at Miller on Saturday morning.
