In the 1960s (Wayne Dowdy must have been 17 years old!) he was a DJ at WRBC in Jackson and had this awful musical introduction, going, "Wayne Dowdy is on the air ... Wayne Dowdy is on the air ..."

Doesn't he have a part in three 100KW's in the Tupelo metro, Miss 98, Mix 99 (I've been gone 2 yrs, name may have changed), and Sunny 93?

Charles' brother, John "Toby" Dowdy, owned WMGR and WJAD in Bainbridge, Ga.  Toby started as a singer in Jacksonville, FL with his own radio  and TV shows.   After Toby died in 1985 his son sold the stations.
