AC in Portugal
« on: May 20, 2007, 01:26:08 AM »

The most listened station in Portugal is a AC station, at least I was told so: www.rfm.pt
I have the chance to hear it oftenly and I almost can draw a clock:

TOH/news
Voice
Music
Jingle
Music
Commercial
Jingle
Music
Voice
Music
Jingle
Music
Commercial
Jingle
Music
Voice
And so on...

If I remove the Jingles between songs the music flow would be inconsistent, not to say absurd. The voice talent is limited to announce the songs, weather forecasts, promotions and so... Voice tracking till Intro on each speach,  no cheap chat about who played and whos's next besides if it's a debut.

Id'like to know if in the US it's the same thing... Station slogan: "Just great songs"

Is it the same there in the US?
