IF any one is listening or not ( i dont care, as i vented in
the other threads) but I have a question about the
*Actual Content* of the  howard stern show.

How is it different than the terrestial(?sp)/traditional
radio broadcast that was on in my market from 6am - til 11am or so..
No i am not a fan, but I would Occassionaly, (a few times since
the station in market #52 was a preset on my car stereo)...I would
catch his show, and less than 5ive minutes, flip to the
local morning show....anyways, how is the show sooo different ?
*Minus the last 8-12 months, since he was using that time to
shamelessly promote the switch to sirrius...but, if i had an
aircheck from two years ago, and this morning's show..
(minus news/current events/breaking story)..and the Obvious difference,
of him saying "..this broad was soo "f--" up" versus free form radio..

Document:
What is soo much better now, than "FREE" radio on the fm dial ?

The segments of the show last much longer - on FM he had to cut off discussions or interviews to take breaks, here they seem to break in natural places at their discression.  When they do break its for a few minutes, not 15-20 minutes like on FM, and much of the break is recorded bits or music or live commercials, not endless recorded spots.  As far as content, they can openly discuss sexual topics that they had to mask in coded words before.  As far as language, they do not over-use the 'F' & 'S' words, but do use more slang and clinical terms for body parts.

"Free FM" is still in the restraints Howard & crew had on FM, in fear of being fined for crossing over that sometimes unclear line.
