Intelsat IA-6 goes nuts??
« on: April 13, 2006, 03:01:36 PM »

The latest from Intelsat...

"A memory upload was scheduled that caused the CPU on IA-6 to reset resulting in a 360 degree spin of the satellite and loss of earth-lock at approx 1205PM EDT, today (Thursday 4.13.06). All C-band and KU-band transponders on IA-6 were impacted (transponders did not shut off). The satellite regained earth lock, and service, at approx 1222PM EDT."

Yep their main net is also on AMC 1, backed up on CBand AMC4.
They use AMC 1 and AMC 9 for news.
CBS uses IA6 & IA 5
ABC uses IA5 & IA6 but changing to Galaxy 4 and 3
FOX uses Galaxy 3 and 4.
