Charlie Adams blows another anniversary
« on: June 01, 2006, 08:47:48 PM »

That being the 39th one (today) of the release of the Beatles' most celebrated LP, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, instead preferring to interview a guest at 8:07, as is sometimes his wont.   8)Love to wonder what would happen to Charlie & Co. if CC ever got its hands on WEEU.   8)ixnay

Simple.  Charlie would be forced to adopt right wing political advocay, the station would be forced to become another "angry white mail" formatted station like WAEB and the two would sound alike. And we listeners would be the worse for it.Richard / Allentown

not necessarily.....cc has successful talk hosts who are not always angry white male......you just need to have some organization and some idea what is going on around you......from the posts...it sounds like charlie AND WEEU could benefit from some consulting

At least last Thursday June 8, Charlie did do the almanac and recognized the 40th anniversary of what I call the AFL/NFL "peace treaty" (NOT merger - the "peace treaty" laid the groundwork for a merger in 1970), calling off the 7-year talent war between Pete Rozelle's league and Lamar Hunt's.Good job, Charlie, although since it was a sports anniv., you should've left the job to Mitch.  ::)And I do like WEEU's various sounders and music beds. ixnay
