I thought that Power 97.5 was a good product on a crappy signal. Had it be on a signal like 106.9 with better coverage, it would probably would still be here..with "Uncle Funky" in the morning no less. 97.5......sigh....will probably be Jack. It is the only logical thing to put there. It is Virtually automated and would fill the format gap of adult hits in Houston. Asian would actually be better on 103.3 wouldn't it? It would be better coverage of SW Houston and I don't believe that their isn't a high Asian population in E Houston or Beaumont.

A soft AC would pull from those listeners who think Sunny isn't soft and want an alternative to The Wave. A station like this should incorporate current soft hits, timeless others (Sinatra is always timeless) and add current Standards hits, they would need to think "Starbucks crowd". This I think if anything would have potential here.

There is a sizable Asian population in southeast Texas, particularly in Port Arthur.  As other posters have stated, Cumulus doesn't apparently have anyone clued in to the Asian population on their programming staff in Atlanta, where all the micromanaging occurs.
